Accessibility
Last updated 2026-11-04. This instance is run by Jack Hale. Contact: ours.astride300@passmail.net.
Ours should work well for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, switch access, zoom, or who see colour differently.
What we aim for
- WCAG 2.2 at level AA across the app, checked with automated tests on every change.
- The two partners’ colours are tested against the common types of colour blindness, and whose plan it is is also given in words: in each plan’s details, in the key under the plan, and to screen readers. In Settings → Appearance, each of you can pick your colour and a marker shape (a circle, square or diamond); if your colours could be hard to tell apart, the app suggests different shapes.
- Everything can be done with a keyboard, with visible focus and a skip link.
- Text reflows down to 320 pixels wide and up to 200% zoom, and the app follows your system's text size, dark mode and reduced-motion settings.
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
Known limitations
- The week view is a visual summary. The agenda list next to it carries the same information in a form that works better with screen readers.
- Calendars imported from other services keep whatever titles those services provide.
